Edmondson Covered Deck with Under-Deck Patio

Covered upper deck with a stained tongue-and-groove ceiling and board-and-batten walls, paired with a finished under-deck patio kept dry by a full waterproofing system.

Edmondson is built for a sloped lot where elevation works to the homeowner's advantage — instead of one big platform, we built two distinct spaces stacked on top of each other. The upper deck is a covered porch with a stained tongue-and-groove pine ceiling, white board-and-batten walls, dark composite decking, and black aluminum baluster railings — the kind of finished space you'd expect inside the home, just outdoors. Below it, the under-deck patio is kept dry by a full waterproof ceiling system, with brick columns supporting the structure, a powerful black ceiling fan overhead, and direct access to grade. Two usable outdoor rooms, one footprint.
